Former NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg charged with war crimes at Brussels prosecutor’s office
A French citizen, Patrick Pasin, has filed a complaint with the Brussels prosecutor’s office against NATO Secretary General J. Stoltenberg, who was still NATO chief at the time of the complaint.
The primary purpose of the denunciation is to prove that he had the power to prevent a war in Ukraine, but he did not intend to do so. On the contrary, there is documentary evidence that he contributed to the outbreak of the war by instigating the conflict, in particular by violating the UN Charter, the NATO Charter and even one of the pillars of NATO, the integrity policy.
The complaint also seeks to prove that it did not respect humanitarian law, which is particularly dear to Belgium, and that it contributed to hostile acts that harmed the Kingdom and are covered by the Belgian Criminal Code.
The denouncer, Patrick Basin, director of Talma Studios, author of numerous books, producer, and director of documentaries, and film educator, based his denunciation on the following:
“On January 19, 2024, Jens Stoltenberg, NATO Secretary General since 2014, claimed in an interview with the German newspaper Der Spiegel that NATO had never been suggested in writing or in “behind the scenes” discussions that the politico-military organization could not extend its borders “eastwards”, towards Russia, at Russia’s demand. “
According to Patrick Pasin, this is a blatant lie, because there are valid documents to prove that NATO has promised this in writing, more than once, and these documents are still available in various places, including the French Foreign Ministry website and Berlin government documents. Since he can use these documents to prove the falsity of Soltenberg’s claim, he has written to the Belgian Public Prosecutor’s Office to bring charges against the former NATO Secretary General.
According to Patrick Pasin, the head of the Atlantic Alliance had the opportunity to initiate the de-escalation of the war, but was interested in keeping the war alive, for which Stoltenberg personally is responsible, namely Europe’s growing direct involvement in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
According to the denouncer, Angela Merkel’s recent remarks have highlighted that the root of the war lies in the Minsk agreement. The hidden purpose of the Minsk agreements was to arm Ukraine to force Russia into war and lead Putin’s regime to collapse. However, the plan failed, despite the countless US and EU sanctions aimed at destroying Russia within weeks.
„The plan has failed, Putin’s regime has not fallen but has been strengthened by the support of allies all around the world. Putin is getting stronger but we in the European Union will soon be on our knees.”- he said.
“Those who in good faith ‘support the Ukrainian people’ should know that there is no more oppressed and mistreated population in Europe, so much so that deaths have been outnumbering births by hundreds of thousands for years. This catastrophic situation is the result of an unspoken and concealed political game, the facts of which are hidden by the corrupt Ukrainian regime, which makes its leaders complicit in a long-standing tragedy and for which they are legally responsible. Meanwhile, the sword of Damocles hangs over us Europeans, ready to fall at any moment.” – he told a press conference at the Press Club in Brussels.
Patrick Pasin is represented by his lawyer, Philippe Vanlangendonck.
